DESCRIPTION:Overview of Key Takeaways from TraumaCon 2026 \nThis session provides a PI overview\, Delirium & TBI\, Benefits of AI\, Inclusive Trauma Care\, Trauma Education Techniques. \nTraumaCon is the annual conference held by the Society of Trauma Nurses. There were many lecture topics presented related to care of the trauma patient and maintaining an effective trauma program. \n \n\nJodi Peppers RN\, BSN-CEN \nJodi works at Corewell Health South as a Performance Improvement Nurse and Injury Prevention for their 3 trauma centers. These include a level 3 ACS verified trauma center as well as 2 level 4 state designated trauma centers. Working at Corewell Health for almost 22 years\, Jodi transitioned into this position 5 years ago. Prior to this Jodi worked in the Emergency Room and had the privilege of serving as Charge Nurse. {rofessonally\, Jodi sits on many MTC committees\, including Rural Trauma\, Violence Prevention\, Injury Prevention\, Performance Improvement\, and the IP Symposium planning committe. She is married and has two very active children\, who love to be involved in many sports activities. Jodi keeps active volunteering in the classroom\, coaching high school volleyball\, playing with their two dogs\, working out(Crossfit/ 2 time Ironman Finisher)\, and following Jesus. Living in a beach town\, she enjoys downtime at the beach. \n\n\nObjective 1: Overview of TraumaCon 2026\n\n\nObjective 2: Identify the most commonly cited Type 2 deficiency\n\nObjective 3: Provide overview of key takeaways related to maintaining an effective trauma program

DESCRIPTION:TEXAS-Sized Lessons from Trauma Con 2026 \nThis session provides PI tactics\, VR education\, CBRNE International Updates\, Trauma survivorship\, Wilderness & Environmental emergencies\, Trauma Readmissions. \nTraumaCon is the annual STN conference hosted in Austin\, Texas this year for 2026. The conference includes several topics pertinent to trauma care from trauma experts around the world.  My hope is to share these lessons with trauma professionals in Michigan to improve trauma care locally. \n \n\nJennie Dent BSN\, RN \nJennie is passionate about trauma care and has dedicated her career to caring for this patient population. She has spent 22 years with Corewell Health (formerly Spectrum Health)\, working as a trauma RN\, preceptor\, and Trauma Nurse Navigator at the Butterworth Level I Trauma Center. For the past three years\, she has proudly served as the Trauma Program Coordinator at Corewell Health Blodgett Level III Trauma Center. \nJennie is a proud mom to two amazing kids: Ethan\, a high school junior and standout student-athlete who plays lacrosse and tennis\, and Lauren\, who is currently in nursing school and beginning her clinical rotations at Blodgett Hospital this month. Her fur baby\, Lulu—an 8‑lb rescue from Louisiana—can outplay dogs twice her size when it comes to fetch. \nIn her spare time\, Jennie enjoys boating\, reading\, hiking\, and fishing in Ludington\, where she and her husband\, Adam\, renovated a tiny lakeside cottage during the pandemic. \n\nObjective 1: Learner will state benefits of attending national conferences and benefits of MTC scholarships \n\n\n\nObjective 2: Learner will review tactics and strategies to improve Trauma Process improvement in their programs
