These include a level 3 ACS verified trauma center as well as 2 level 4 state designated trauma centers. Working at Corewell Health for almost 21 years\, Jodi transitioned into this position 4 years ago. Prior to this Jodi worked in the Emergency Room and had the privilege of serving as Charge Nurse. Jodi currently serves as Chair for the 2025 Injury Prevention Symposium and sits on both the Rural Trauma Committee and Violence Prevention Committee. She is married and has two very active children\, who love to be involved in many sports activities. Keeping active volunteering in the classroom\, coaching volleyball( 2023 Middle School Volleyball Coach of the Year)\, playing with their two dogs\, working out (Crossfit/ 2 time Ironman Finisher)\, and following Jesus\, Jodi also likes downtime at the beach. Her mantra is “Shine” Matthew 5:16. \nCommunication between trauma centers is important for growth in our trauma programs. Learn how a rural trauma center uses feedback to enhance care of the trauma patient. She is a volunteer for Great Lakes Burn Camp serving as the camper recruiter.  Laura has a sense of adventure and loves doing outside activities in all four seasons\, reading a good crime novel and socializing with friends and family. \nAnita Barksdale\, BSN\, RN\, CPST\nAnita Barksdale is an Injury Prevention Specialist with Trinity Health Oakland.  Anita started her career in Physical Therapy and transitioned to nursing in 2004 as a Cardiology Nurse.  After serving as a Nurse Educator for Cardiology\, Oncology\, Pediatrics\, and Cardiac Monitoring Units\, for 14 years\, Anita began volunteering for a fall prevention program coordinated by Trinity Health Trauma Services.  After Volunteering for 3 years\, she transitioned to the role of Injury Prevention Specialist.  Anita currently serves as MTC’s Stop the Bleed Injury Prevention Subcommittee Chair\, as well as an active member of many MTC committees. She began her career 20 years ago as a bedside RN at Butterworth\, a Level 1 Trauma center\, working as a charge RN\, and preceptor in the Trauma unit. Jennie continued her career with the Butterworth Trauma team as the first Trauma Nurse Navigator for the program. Jennie worked to establish the role and to expand the nurse navigation team\, which eventually included transition to the Corewell Health Multidisciplinary Trauma clinic\, established in 2019. This clinic allows seamless collaboration across medical specialties to promote optimal patient outcomes thru care coordination\, patient advocacy and education. She proudly served with the Multidisciplinary Trauma Team until joining the Corewell Trauma Program at Blodgett in 2022\, with successful Trauma State designation in 2024.\n\n  \nBrandi Brock MSN\, RN\nBrandi is the Trauma Program Coordinator at Corewell Health Reed City and Big Rapids\, both are Level IV Trauma centers. Brandi graduated with her RN from Ferris State University in 2015. She started her career at Butterworth in the neuro ICU then transitioned closer to home in the Reed City Emergency Room in 2017. During the time of working in the ED\, she went onto obtain her MSN through Chamberlain College. These materials have been widely used to educate parents\, caregivers\, and healthcare professionals on best practices to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Clarissa is a certified child passenger safety instructor (CPST-I). DESCRIPTION:This remote course (live and recorded sessions) will start on January 29 and continue to take place during the month of February. You will receive access to the course on January 29th  to start listening to the presentations. The first live Q&A session will be on February 2nd to discuss Anatomy 1.0. The second and third live Q&A sessions are on February 8th and 15th. After the last Q&A there is a Quiz. You will be able to listen to all of the presentations as many times as you like during the course time frame. \nTARP is geared towards the advanced registrar who has taken the AIS course.
