The University of Michigan Injury Prevention Center announces the launch of our newly updated, evidence-based Massive Open Online Course (MOOC), Injury Prevention for Children and Teens. Injuries are the #1 cause of death among children and teens, yet very little training exists for medical students, teachers, public health practitioners, and other stakeholders on injury prevention. The course lays a broad foundation for pediatric injury prevention and will increase your understanding of this major public health issue through powerful, concise, up-to-date lectures, interviews, and demonstrations from a multidisciplinary panel of nationally-recognized injury prevention experts. This comprehensive update includes new evidence-based resources across all 7 modules presented in a flexible learning format, as well as course content for three new areas of injury prevention science.
Free, self-paced (estimated over 5 weeks). Starts on May 18th.
