Injury Prevention
Like diseases, injuries are generally preventable—they do not occur at random. To target risk factors for a specific injury, we define the problem, identify risk factors, develop and test prevention strategies, and then disseminate widespread adoption of those prevention principles and strategies that have been shown to work best.

The efforts of MTC’s Injury Prevention Committee are many-faceted and are described on their committee page. The Injury Prevention Committee also has sub-committees for Stop the Bleed, Older Adult Falls, Teen Driving Safety, and Violence Prevention.
