Techniques for Pediatric Plain Film Imaging

This is not meant to be an all-inclusive list of images that should be obtained for a pediatric patient nor is it meant to direct non-pediatric facilities to obtain skeletal surveys.  Obtaining any skeletal imaging should be done based on areas of clinical concern.  The decision to obtain a skeletal survey should only be made at the request of the pediatric facility that will be accepting your patient.  Ideally, skeletal surveys should be performed at dedicated pediatric facilities.
