Purpose: This dynamic event focuses on equipping healthcare providers throughout systems with tools and knowledge to provide comprehensive, high-quality care for  children. Special considerations for providing pediatric emergency care in the rural setting will also be emphasized throughout the sessions. By supporting pediatric readiness across the continuum of care, children will receive the right care when they are ill or injured

Sessions:

• Part 1 — Pediatric Emergency Education sessions (9am – 2:20pm)
  • Seizures
  • Ingestions
  • Multi-System Trauma
  • Behavioral Health Crisis Managment
• Part 2 — Breakout sessions (2:20pm – 4:30pm)
  • Pediatric disaster scenario/tabletop exercise
  • Sessions will emphasize interdisciplinary collaboration and considerations for rural settings
