The ATS Injury Prevention Coordinator Course (IPCC) provides a comprehensive overview of the essential components of a hospital-based injury and violence prevention (HIVP) program. The 2-day virtual course, geared for individuals with 0-3 years of experience as Injury Prevention Professionals (IPP), is designed as an introduction to the role of the IPP and the development of HIVP programs. During the course, experienced IPP faculty will guide students through an interactive learning experience that covers key areas of HIVP program development including concepts of public health, data analysis, program development and intervention, evaluation, advocacy, and more. The small group work, faculty interaction, and course follow up provide newer IPPs with a solid foundation of HIVP resources and networking contacts. CEU’s are available for Registered Nurses, upon course completion.
