Purpose: This event will highlight evidence-based, patient-centered care from the scene of the injury, through acute treatment, and on to physical and mental rehabilitation. The goal of the education is to optimize the patient’s return to the highest level of function after traumatic injury.

Objectives:
• Participants will review current guidelines and best practices for treatment of traumatic injuries.
• Participants will understand the patient’s perspective of traumatic injury, from scene of injury, throughout treatment stages, and the journey to recovery after a mass
casualty incident.
• Discuss the implications for the Geriatric population during Trauma Triage.

Intended Audience: Nurses, Physicians, Pharmacists, Social Workers, Physical Therapy and Rehab, APPs, Psychologists, EMS Professionals, Nutritionists
All who have an active involvement in Trinity Health’s Trauma System are invited.
