Virtual ICD-10 course is geared towards the registrar or RN involved in trauma coding. The ICD-10-CM and ICD-10 PCS systems have over 14,400 codes to describe all medical elements. These are broken down into 22 specific chapters. Pomphrey Consulting has developed a comprehensive course which focuses on the chapters where “injuries” meeting the national inclusion criteria are found. Designed by AHIMA certified ICD-10 instructors and ambassadors, this comprehensive introduction to trauma-specific ICD10 coding, fulfills the unique needs of beginning and intermediate level Trauma Registrars. Students will in-depth discussions on ICD-10-CM External Cause, ICD-10-CM Injuries, ICD-10-PCS procedures guidelines, rules, indexes, and ancillary sections as well as a detailed discussion on root operations and approaches.

Cost is $125 for members and $260 for non-members. Registration and payment must be received by April 3, 2024, to give time to set up the course.

The course will be held on April 18 12:30-4:30, April 19 9:00-1:00, April 25 12:30-4:30 and April 26 9:00-1:00. The total amount of time for training is 16 hours.

You will need access to ICD-10 CM and PCS books or a website with the information, an anatomy book is helpful.
